What can we say? Our local bike club is awesome. The Cloud City Wheelers have been responsible for the construction of upwards of 20 miles of single-track near town behind Colorado Mountain College and Turquoise Lake. With many more miles planned, volunteers are always welcome to join trail-building days, every Wednesday during the dry season. All trail construction is the direct result of volunteer labor, club donations, IMBA visits, and grant funding. The trails are designed and constructed to meet IMBA standards.

They also put on one heck of a winter fat bike race series and have been doing so for more than 15 years. There are 4 races in the series and they are more of fun get together that happens to have a race attached. If you’re looking to ride bikes in the winter, the Cloud City Wheelers groom over 12 miles of pristine single track. If you haven’t experienced riding a fat bike on their trails, you have not fully lived!
